Migration of the Mamed.ua online store from Opencart
Given the store's specialization in summer cottage goods and the approaching active sales season, the task was to urgently create a new website. Important aspects of the project were high-quality translation and transfer of existing content to the new platform, as well as the convenience and efficiency of the new website.
All product categories, along with video reviews, testimonials, and SEO metadata, were successfully transferred using AI tools. This not only ensured high-quality translation, but also guaranteed its speed, which was critical for the project. In addition, the use of AI allowed for cost optimization, making translation not only fast but also cost-effective.
For the convenience of users, we have set up functional filters by product category, greatly facilitating the process of finding the desired items.
A complex system of delivery and payment terms was implemented, which included many options, including free delivery for selected product groups, own delivery only to selected locations, and a surcharge at the store's expense when certain conditions are met. All this is configured so that the buyer receives only the most affordable and best terms when placing an order, depending on the selected product and the city of delivery.
The site has been added with the option of paying by bank card and the "payment in installments" function from Monobank, providing customers with convenient and flexible payment options. Mono checkout has also been enabled
Great attention was paid to the transfer and high-quality translation of articles, recipes, and tips from the store's blog, preserving the value of the author's content.
During the site setup process, all key SEO requirements were taken into account, including 301 redirects from old links, creating a sitemap, closing non-essential pages from indexing, optimizing filters and pagination, and ensuring high site loading speed.
Configured product exports to Google Merchant and Hotline
The project was successfully launched with all the necessary functionality within 30 calendar days, which allowed the client to enter the market on time and catch the active sales season. This was possible thanks to the coordinated work of the team and effective project planning.
When relaunching the site, a strategic decision was made to completely abandon the russian language, which caused an expected temporary decrease in traffic due to the change in the main language of SEO queries. However, thanks to high-quality content translation and carefully tuned SEO optimization, a return of traffic was recorded within a month, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the implemented SEO settings and gives the prospect of further growth.
The solution we developed provides the store owner with convenient tools for quick and efficient management of all aspects of the online store. The advanced platform with an intuitive interface allows you to easily manage the assortment, payments and delivery
The eCore team did an incredible job in a short time.
The russian content of the site was knocked to the knees and Ukrainian-language content was launched using the same links. I expected that traffic would be lost forever. But it didn't happen as expected... After restarting and working correctly with Google Search Console, the store showed an increase in pages in the search query from an average of 19th position to 9th position in a month.
The ability to set variations in delivery and payment depending on the brand and type of product was extremely important for us. The peculiarity of working with some brands requires different payment and delivery settings depending on what is in the customer's cart. And this significantly improved conversion.
The OpenCart store has not been globally updated since 2019, there were attempts to deploy certain modules, but one module blocked another and everything returned to the previous version.
And the most important and first thing is that I couldn't add the Ukrainian version on the old engine. When adding Ukrainian, it was only the second language, there were constant problems with visualization on the site (part of the menu was in one language, part in another), etc.
Working with content. An additional bonus was the administrative part for configuring and creating content in PIM.
Thank you for agreeing to this four-week marathon. You did a great job
